Easy Desserts for an Office Party

Recently we had an office party and I wanted to bring some desserts for everyone. Being A) cheap and B) busy I did not want to spend a lot of time and money on it. After a little research on the interwebs, I decided to go with two dishes: Chocolate Chip Cookies and a Frozen Peanut Butter Pie.

The cookies were good – nothing special. But the pie. Oh the pie. It was the biggest hit! I made quite the name for myself in the office. The great think about this pie is the flavor – you can’t quite tell what it is. Is it ice cream? Cheesecake? Peanut butter? All of the above! The best part is that it is no-bake and I made it on my lunch break. Easy!

Ingredients:

Mix everything together…

and freeze!

Seriously. That’s it! An on the dessert spectrum, these guys aren’t that bad for you. To modify it a bit, you can use low fat milk, low fat cream cheese and less sugar.

The cookies took a bit more time but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle. Ingredients:

Mix flour, soda and salt together

In another bowl, beat the butter until smooth, then mix in the sugars

Add water, vanilla and eggs to the butter mix

Stir in the flower mix and then the chocolate chips

Spoon onto a non stick sheet

bake!
