Make an Easy Valentine’s Dinner for Your Girlfriend
I think I may do a series of Valentine’s posts. This one is going to be for all the sweethearts out there, attempting to make an easy, romantic Valentine’s meal for their girlfriends. Whether this is your first attempt at cooking or you are an experienced chef, this Italian meal will surely appease her.
Dessert: Nutella Mousse
You have to make this earlier in the day (or the day before) since it needs to chill for at least 4 hours.
Appetizer: Insalata Caprese
Have this out for her while you are cooking. This can be made ahead of time and kept in the refrigerator until your guest arrives.
Side 1: Parmesan Puffs
Start this side next. Since it takes time for the oven to preheat, you can prepare everything and when the oven is ready, pop in the tray. The should be done around the time you start the spaghetti.
Main Course: Spaghetti Alla Carbonara
I picked this one since it is not too hard and it does not take long to make. If your girlfriend is a vegetarian, you may want to substitute this pick.
Side 2: Garlic Asparagus
If you want a second side, this is a quick one that can be made last. Although your other food will be done, it will not have to sit for too long.
Serve dinner with Champagne or wine. If you really want to go big, then you can get some light decorations to make the evening special. Look for a tablecloth and cloth napkins (preferably red). Place red roses on the table and illuminate with white candles.
So cute. What else do guys need to know for Valentine’s Day?
